Explore the exciting and mysterious Heart of Africa with Bill Helmuth as you travel 3000 bumpy miles in a Safari Vehicle. Explore the awe and grandeur of Victoria Falls and visit tribal villages, the rural schools and hospitals.

Heroes, Statesmen, Philanderers and Fools

November 12 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Werewolves roam the White House. A president is assassinated on the streets of Chicago. Another president dukes it out with terrorists aboard Air Force One. Join Chicago History Museum historian Sarah Marcus as she explores the American presidency as it has been depicted in television and film. This program is made possible in part by an award from the Illinois Humanities Council, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Illinois General Assembly.

The Unknown History of Mexican Culture

November 18 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
President and Curator of the Museum of Mexican Culture and History, Prof. William Luna, presents little-known history, facts and aspects of the nation's background, including information on Aztec kings, the Mexican revolution, Mayans, Mexicans in the military and more.

Outreach Services Staff hold programs at Sunrise Assisted Living Facility utilizing memory stimulating BiFolkal Kits. This event is for residents only. If you would like the library to bring program to your facility, please call Outreach Services Staff for details.

Quilting with Sunrise Seniors

November 19 and December 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Outreach Services Staff go to Sunrise Assisted Living Facility to work on various quilt related programs.
