The Youth Services Department has a special Parenting Collection located in the Preschool Area. The collection contains a variety of topics, such as:

Check out our Phonics workbooks, videos and cassettes. All videos and DVD's can be checked out for two weeks free of charge.

You can pick up a free issue of Chicago Baby or Chicago Parent magazine. They keep you connected with what's going on around town, and lists other valuable resources.

Check out Preschool Pages, a newsletter for parents of pre-schoolers featuring web-sites for fun and learning, an author's corner highlighting various titles and a column filled with songs, finger plays or simple crafts for you to enjoy with a child. Available in the Preschool Area, Preschool Pages is also distributed at local area pre-schools and daycare centers.

For Teachers

Teacher Loan cards are available to certified full-time educators or media specialists working in schools served by the Orland Park Public Library. Click on Teacher Loan Cards (PDF file) for more information and an application.
