Cards for Kids

The Illinois Cards for Kids Act allows qualifying students in kindergarten through 12 grade in District 135, District 230, or who live in Orland Park to obtain a library card free of charge, even if they live in an unincorporated area. Please fill out the form below. Library staff will review your application and notify you if you qualify to receive an Orland Park Public Library card. Does the student have to be enrolled in a public or private school to qualify?
No, any student residing in a designated library service area will qualify.

We currently serve the following schools: Andrew High School, Carl Sandburg High School, Center School, Centennial School, Century Junior High, High Point School, Jerling Junior High, Liberty School, Meadow Ridge School, Saint Michael School, Orland Junior High, Park School, and Prairie School. Homeschool students are also encouraged to apply for this program.
 

What grade levels are eligible for the program?
Kindergarten through Grade 12
 
Can the entire family get a card through this program?
No, only the qualifying students.
 
What will this card get me?
Check out library items, access to all digital materials, program registration.
 
How long will the cards be active?
Cards are active September 1-August 31. Parents/guardians will have to renew each year.
