Trust: America’s Best Chance

by Pete Buttigieg

I read this book on a recommendation from a friend and I was not disappointed. Buttigieg discusses the 2020 presidential candidacy from his perspective including the end of his campaign and how he still believes the country needs to move forward. It’s a short and very timely read and includes the current state of our nation focusing on the pandemic and protests as well as the events leading up to the election. I’m not one to usually read books written by politicians, but it was the right book for the right time. I also highly recommend listening to the audiobook as Buttigieg does a fantastic job with the narration. This title is available as a physical copy as well as on OverDrive as an ebook and e audiobook.

Supernatural

Dad’s on a hunting trip and hasn’t been home in a few days is the line that starts it all. Brothers Sam and Dean Winchester embark on a road trip to find their father saving people, hunting things that go bump in the night along the way. But this show is more than that, it is about family ( in all its forms), life, death, and the supernatural. This is definitely a binge worthy series!

The Prodigal Son

Malcom Bright is a criminal psychologist, one of the best in fact. He assists the FBI in solving crimes using his twisted genius. His genius is twisted due to his father, a surgeon and serial killer. This show is very suspenseful and has you at the edge of your seat every time. The acting is phenomenal! You have The Walking Dead’s Thomas Payne, the great Martin Sheen, and the legendary Lou Diamond Phillips.
