This summer is all about reaching the next level of reading! Join in our Level Up at Your Library Summer Reading Challenge, where reading will earn you the chance to win fabulous prizes and maybe help you learn something new! Participants can track their progress through Beanstack or via paper logs available at the library.
Adults and Teens:
Read by Book or Read By Minute: 1 Book or 120 Reading Minutes earns a drawing ticket (Max 15 tickets)
Rising 5th Graders and Under:
Read By Minute Challenge: Every 80 minutes spent reading earns a drawing ticket.
Summer Reading Kickoff Event: Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Celebrate the start of summer reading at our kickoff event featuring:
- A Very Special Bright Starts at 10 a.m.
- Crosstown Exotics Reptile Show at 11 a.m.
- Rolling Video Games Chicago
- Photobooth
- LEGO Creation Station
- Ice Cream from Rainbow Cone
- Games
- Friends of the Library Sidewalk Sale
