Study Rooms

The library offers study rooms for adults, teens, and children, alone or in small groups, in order to provide a suitable environment for research, study, reading, and learning for all ages.

Orland Park Public Library cardholders may book a 2-hour study room session. Non-residents with a valid photo ID may use study rooms on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability, for one session per day.


Adult Study Rooms

adult-study-room Six study rooms are located on the library’s second floor. Each adult study room can accommodate up to 4 persons.
Adult study rooms may be reserved up to one week in advance.

A valid photo ID must be presented to claim your reservation. No reservations are permitted for non-Orland Park Public library cardholders.

  • Adult Study Room Reservations:

    • Adult study rooms can be reserved by Orland Park Public Library cardholders up to one week in advance for one session per day. Additional reservations may be granted at staff discretion depending on availability.
    • Reservations will be held for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the reservation will be marked as a no-show. Three no-shows in a 30-day period will result in the loss of reservation privileges for 30 days.
    • Extended time may be arranged for examinations if coordinated with library staff.
    • When a session expires, the individual or group may remain in their room until a new individual or group reserves the room.

Teen Study Rooms

Teen-Loft-Study-Room Two teen study rooms are located in the library’s Teen Loft on the second floor. Each room can accommodate up to two. To book a teen study room, stop by the Teen Desk.

Six study rooms are located in the Children’s Library on the first floor. Rooms can accommodate up to four or six, depending on the room available. To book a children’s study room, stop by the Children’s Library Desk.
