Job Resources

Employment-Resources

Finding a job can be tough, so the library is here to help!
On the Job Resources page you will find resources to help you not only look for work, but also prepare yourself by updating old skills and learning some new ones!
Access to Employment Resources requires a valid Orland Park Public Library card, but all YouTube links and channels are available for everyone to browse.

Antiracism Resources

Antiracist-Resources

Racism and hate have no place in our community. We seek to work with others to build a resilient community that expresses a deep concern for the well-being of every person. We remain committed to action that is rooted in equity and respect for human dignity. To that end, our librarians have curated this guide to antiracism terms, online resources, and materials available to borrow from the Orland Park Public Library.

Book Page

Stop by the Adult Services desk to pick up your free copy of the popular monthly book magazine, Book Page. You can also access this month’s digital issue here, through Issuu.com.

Book Discussions

Join us for great discussions in a virtual setting!

Our Fiction/Nonfiction, Romance, and Pages & Pastries discussions are currently available virtually through Zoom. Please check the library’s calendar for dates and contact information to get your invitation and join the fun!

We have a few brand new book discussions that are taking place on Goodreads.
Drop in at your leisure for casual month long discussions on different topics. Hope to see you there!

Veterans’ History Project

The Orland Park Public Library is participating in the Veterans’ History Project in conjunction with the Library of Congress and the Illinois State Library. If you are a veteran or civilian who once served with the U.S. military, from World War I through the present, we want to hear about your experiences.
