Gifts to the Library

The Library provides opportunities to private citizens and businesses to make contributions in support of library programs, materials, and services. Donations are tax deductible.

Gifts may be made on several levels and may be designated in honor or memory of loved ones.

Capital Campaign

Gifts for Materials

Monetary donations will be used to purchase books for the library collections. The amount of the gift is $50 per book.

Garden Stone Fundraiser

Orland Park Public Library offers patrons the ability to purchase a garden stone for the library’s new nature center, The Backyard, as part of the library’s capital campaign fundraiser. The capital campaign is a category in the library’s budget that pays for library building improvements. Stones are approximately 11.5 inches at their longest point.

Please return the garden stone order form with a check for $150 to the library’s front desk.

Engraved Pavers

Pavers with a name and inscription are installed in the plaza at the library’s front entrance. Pavers may be purchased in two sizes: 4″ x 8″ for $150 and 8″ x 8″ for $225.

End Panel Plaques

Engraved plaques with a name inscription are installed on end panels in the Adult and Youth Services Reading Rooms. End panel plaques are $500.
