Meet Me: April Balasa
April Balasa
Patron Services Clerk
April has worked for Orland Park Public Library for 4 years. You can usually find her at the Welcome Kiosk or the checkout desk.
April has many favorite books.
“My list of favorites is extremely long, so I will just name a few,” said April “Favorite book would have to be The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Favorite movies just to name a few: King Arthur, Blood and Chocolate, Merchant of Venice and Confessions of a Shopaholic. My favorite T.V. show is Hannibal, and my favorite anime/manga is Black Bulter.”
When April isn’t helping library patrons check out books, she can be found painting, drawing, and writing.
Her favorite space in the library is The Backyard.
The Orland Park Public Library serves the residents of the Village of Orland Park. The library moved into its award-winning 93,000 square foot building in September 2004.
Patrons of all ages have access to a well-rounded collection of both print and non-print materials, educational and recreational programs, computers and instructional computer classes, excellent reference service, outreach programs for seniors and home delivery patrons, and storytimes for children.
