Meet Me: Beckie Crume

Beckie Crume

Senior Patron Services Clerk

Beckie has worked for Orland Park Public Library for 16 years.

“It’s the only library I’ve ever worked for,” said Beckie. “Patrons can find me in the lobby at the Welcome Podium or the Checkout Desk.”

Beckie’s favorite thing about working at the library is getting to know people in the community. She enjoys meeting local residents and learning more about them.
Her favorite books are suspense, mysteries, nonfiction, and biographies.

“When I am not at the library, I enjoy outside activities according to the seasons,” said Beckie.

Beckie’s favorite spot in the library to read is at the fireplace upstairs.

The Orland Park Public Library serves the residents of the Village of Orland Park. The library moved into its award-winning 93,000 square foot building in September 2004.

Patrons of all ages have access to a well-rounded collection of both print and non-print materials, educational and recreational programs, computers and instructional computer classes, excellent reference service, outreach programs for seniors and home delivery patrons, and storytimes for children.
