George Mietelski

Information Technology Assistant

George has worked for Orland Park Public Library for over 15 years. You can usually find him at the IT Help Desk.

George’s favorite thing about working at the library is the peaceful learning atmosphere.

“I love to read the personal finance books,” says George. “I like the old classic movies of all genres. I like 1960s classic rock and jazz too.”

George can be found reading The Week News Magazine when he’s not helping patrons release prints and log into the library’s computers.

When George isn’t at the library, he can be found playing in his 65 and older baseball league.

The Orland Park Public Library serves the residents of the Village of Orland Park. The library moved into its award-winning 93,000 square foot building in September 2004.

Patrons of all ages have access to a well-rounded collection of both print and non-print materials, educational and recreational programs, computers and instructional computer classes, excellent reference service, outreach programs for seniors and home delivery patrons, and storytimes for children.
