Meet Me: Holly Balasa
Holly Balasa
Library Clerk
Holly has worked for Orland Park Public Library for 9 years. You can usually find her in the stacks, which is fancy library language for “between the many bookshelves.”
Holly has many favorite books and magazines.
“My favorite books are cozy mysteries,” said Holly. “I love classic movies and country music.”
Holly also enjoys reading “Birds and Blooms” magazine. She is a big fan of nature.
“I am in love with nature,” says Holly. “I love walking, gardening, and sitting on my swing in my backyard.”
Holly’s favorite space in the library depends on the season.
“In colder weather, I enjoy sitting by the fire place, and in the warmer weather I enjoy the library’s Backyard nature space.”
The Orland Park Public Library serves the residents of the Village of Orland Park. The library moved into its award-winning 93,000 square foot building in September 2004.
Patrons of all ages have access to a well-rounded collection of both print and non-print materials, educational and recreational programs, computers and instructional computer classes, excellent reference service, outreach programs for seniors and home delivery patrons, and storytimes for children.
