Sarah-Kleiva

Community Engagement Manager

Sarah has worked in libraries for 9 years and for Orland Park Public Library for 3 years. She can most often be found in the Outreach offices or out in the community.

“I also run the caregiver support group at the library which is my favorite part of my workweek!” says Sarah.

Sarah finds her work meaningful and really loves it.

“The best thing about being a community engagement manager is getting to create services and programs that fill a real need in the community,” said Sarah.

Sarah has really eclectic taste.

“I love everything from romance to fantasy to biography,” said Sarah. “I am an audio book fiend and classic movie nut. The library has excellent collections of both. Sitting down with a coffee and reading a book has become a rare pleasure for me. I’m always multi-tasking. The library is my audio book lifeline.”

Sarah has four loves. Her pet bunnies Ludo and Nox are first. Her planner stickers and pens, Golden Girls revival decor, and Pusheen Vinyl Collectables are the rest. Her Pusheen Collection will go on display at the library next year.

Sarah’s favorite space in the library is The Backyard.
“It is gorgeous and such a unique outdoor space for our library to have,” said Sarah.

The Orland Park Public Library serves the residents of the Village of Orland Park. The library moved into its award-winning 93,000 square foot building in September 2004.

Patrons of all ages have access to a well-rounded collection of both print and non-print materials, educational and recreational programs, computers and instructional computer classes, excellent reference service, outreach programs for seniors and home delivery patrons, and storytimes for children.
